Association of Family Physicians Continues HMT Programme

Led by the Association of Family Physicians, the Health Management Training (HMT) programme has launched its new cycle with the successful completion of the first module for newly appointed Municipal Directors of Health and Social Welfare from across Kosovo.

The first module focused on the planning and implementation of services in Primary Health Care (PHC). Participants strengthened their knowledge and skills in key management areas, exchanged experiences, and received updates on current developments and good practices in the health sector. 

The six-module programme is implemented by the Association of Family Physicians, with support from the AQH Project, with backing and accreditation from the Kosovo Chamber of Doctors.

With AQH on its third and final phase, the project is working to transfer its interventions and achievements to local institutions and authorities to ensure their long-term sustainability. The continued implementation of the Health Management Training programme by local institutions represents an important step in this transition and in the institutionalization of capacity-building efforts within Kosovo’s health system.

The remaining modules will continue to strengthen capacities in human resources management and support more effective leadership and workforce management across Kosovo’s healthcare system.
